GoI to implement more Safety Codes of ILO: Dr Avneesh Singh
The Government of India (GoI) headed by Narendra Modi is taking more positive approach towards the industrialization and try to implement more number of Behavioral Safety Codes recommended by the International Labour Organization (ILO) , announced by Dr Avneesh Singh, Director General, Factory Advice Service and Labour Institutes, Ministry of Labour, GoI (FASLI). Inaugurating the 2nd National Conference of the Forum of Behavioural Safety (BESAFE) organized at NITIE, Powai, Dr Avneesh Singh today said as of now only 43 Codes has been recognized out of total 188 codes stipulated by ILO. The Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) is in very initial stage and will require more time to implement in various sectors of Indian economy, Dr Singh added.
