New Delhi: Renowned sports mentor and social reformer Dr. Sanjay Kumar has been conferred with the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Samman in recognition of his exceptional contribution to sports, youth development, and social upliftment. The award was bestowed upon him after observing his lifelong dedication and impactful work in transforming the lives of underprivileged children through sports. Rising from extreme poverty, Dr. Kumar devoted nearly three decades to coaching and mentoring young athletes across multiple disciplines including volleyball, kabaddi, athletics, baseball, mallakhamb, ball badminton, and indigenous games.
