In a board meeting of AAA- Asian Academy of Arts a joint decision was taken to constitute and launch a prestigious and a powerful award for the promotion of art and culture after the name of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. “An Award will be called Atal Behari Vajpayee National Award For The Promotion of Art And Culture to be given to all those who have contributed for the promotion of art and culture. 31th August 2018, Chennai – SKF India Limited, the leading bearing manufacturer along with the local police team of IPRE Division of Chennai police has raided major SKF bearings dealers and stamping units in the Thambu Chetty Street (Central Chennai). The raid resulted in finding out two counterfeit dealers namely Bearing & Chain Enterprises and Rudrakash Bearing Centre engaged in stamping of counterfeit SKF Bearings. During the raid, the police officers have seized a huge quantity of duplicate bearings worth of more than 50 lacs of rupees, which were being sold in Chennai and various other parts of Southern India. Police have registered a case under Section 51(b) (i) and 63(a) of the Copyright Act, 1957.
